Our impacts over the last 12 months

The Breaking The Plastic Habit programme was launched on World Environment Day in June 2018 - a direct response to stakeholder feedback, targeting avoidable single-use plastics and designed to influence a positive behavioural change across the Estate.

World Environment Day 2019 marked the programme’s first anniversary, and allowed us to look back on the impacts that the programme had over the previous 12 months:

The 12 month anniversary, and Plastic Free Communities achievement was celebrated at an event on 5th June 2019, hosted by Canary Wharf on Level 39, One Canada Square. We hosted a Youth Takeover moderated by Surfers Against Sewage CEO, Hugo Tagholm, and joined by flagship partners Morgan Stanley and Refinativ, and ‘Plastic Game Changer’ Author, Amanda Keetley, as they discussed what’s next in the fight against single use plastic
